Room within a room

The design was based on the idea of building a room within a room; a carefully crafted piece of furniture slotted into the barrel-vaulted penthouse volume: it carves out space for a mezzanine sleeping platform, a shower room and wardrobes to serve the master bedroom.

Only two materials are chosen: oak and satin white Hi-Macs. The Blend hand-rinse basin integrates seamlessly with the wall panelling and contrasts beautifully with the warmth of the wooden ceiling and surrounding wall panels.

The shower enclosure is made from single sheets of hi-macs and has a bespoke shower tray. Taps and shower fittings are by Vola to complement the modern aesthetic of the room.
