Velluto® biobased is a solid surface material composed of 50% minerals (aluminum hydroxide) and 50% polyester resin. 30% of the resin previously of fossil origin has been replaced by polyesters of plant origin (corn) derived from certified cultivations. Furthermore, the weight reduction of the biobased baths also allows less CO2 generated by transport. These values have enabled this material to obtain the Green Guard Green Certificate by LEED® (The US system for classifying energy efficiency and the ecological footprint).
Because it is a non-porous, homogeneous material, it is extremely hygienic and therefore very suitable for our basins and baths.
Bactericidal and virucidal
From September 2020, Velluto® biobased is made bactericidal and virucidal: the virus elimination mechanism of our material is given by their catalytic action.
Irrefutable laboratory tests highlight the breaks in the membrane and cell walls of bacteria and viruses, Coronavirus included, when they come into contact with the surface.
Made in Italy
The production of Velluto® biobased is taking place in Italy.
The material provides almost no limitations regarding shapes and is for that reason, among others, a material Not Only White loves to work with. The material has a velvety, soft matte finish and is easy in maintenance.
Palette is a two-component acrylic-polyurethane and pigmented paint, which is applied on our
Velluto®
biobased collections.
